Jackson police make arrest in alleged early Sunday morning hold-up attempt

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Police Department has arrested a man after they say he pulled a handgun on a Jackson Sun employee early Sunday morning. Authorities said 18-year-old Erskine Curry is charged with aggravated assault. According to the police report, a Jackson Sun employee said he was loading newspapers in the back of his truck when Curry drove up in a black Honda Civic, pulled a handgun and asked for his name. Authorities said the employee ran into the building and called police. Curry will be arraigned Monday morning in Jackson City Court.
