Police: Man tried to steal 8 cases of beer in riding cart
DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man was in Jackson court Monday on charges of stealing eight cases of beer from Walmart. Bobby Joe Ross is charged with theft and criminal trespass. According to an affidavit, a loss prevention employee at Walmart on Emporium Drive told police Ross put eight cases of beer into a riding cart and then left the store without paying. The employee also told police Ross previously had been served with a trespassing notice in April of last year. Ross’ bond was set at $10,000.
