It’s becoming normal for athletes to break news on Twitter. Adamsville senior Ross Burcham shared with his 800-plus followers on Sunday that he’s officially committed to The University of Memphis. “God blessed me with a special ability,” explained Burcham when using the hashtag “Glory to God” in his tweet. Burcham says he more than likely will red-shirt his freshman year. He hopes that his hard work in the off-season earns him a scholarship. “Earning stuff is a lot better than it being given,” said Burcham. “I think LeBron says that too.” At Adamsville, Burcham was an all-state athlete and led his team to four consecutive state semifinals. Burcham selected the Tigers over Mississippi College and Southern Illinois.
