Former USJ employee sentenced to prison; must repay $749K

JACKSON, Tenn. — A former University School of Jackson employee who pleaded guilty to wire fraud was sentenced Friday. According to the investigation, Jessica Pinkerton lied to the IRS and transferred school funds to her bank account. She was sentenced by a U.S. district court judge to serve 12 months and one day in federal prison. After that, she will have two years of supervised release and be forced to repay $749,000 to USJ and the IRS.
