Car fire closes down part of highway in Crockett County

CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn.-A car fire shuts down two lanes on U.S. Highway 412 Wednesday as firefighters try to contain the flames. It happened around 2 p.m. near the Brownsville exit onto Highway 188. Alamo firefighters said the driver noticed smoke coming from his engine and pulled over. Both lanes were blocked by deputies while rescuers put out the fire. Troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said no one was hurt.
