Jackson woman accused of stealing from family business

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A Jackson woman was in court Wednesday on accusations of stealing more than $7,000 from her family’s business. According to the affidavit, Chi Hye Westerfield’s mother told investigators her daughter stole six checks from their restaurant, Fuji Yama, located on Stone Bridge Boulevard. Westerfield also is accused of writing several thousand dollars worth of the checks to herself. She faces a count of felony theft and is now free on a $5,000 bond.
