Sheriff: No threatening situation at northeast Madison Co. home

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Madison County Sheriff’s Department has determined no one was involved in a reported threatening situation at a home in northeast Madison County. According to the department’s public information officer, deputies received a call early Friday evening of a man barricaded inside a home, possibly with family members inside, on Highway 70 East. The investigators are now attempting to find the source of the call and discourage these disturbing calls in the future. The department told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News the original call came in to the Jackson Police Department.
