Special Olympics takes polar plunge challenge

JACKSON, Tenn. — Polar plungers braved low temperatures and freezing cold water to help raise money for Special Olympics in West Tennessee. Organizers said the event raised more than $12,000. Plungers had to raise more than $50 each before dunking themselves into the 31 degree waters.
