Gist gives State of City address at First Friday Forum

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — Mayor Jerry Gist spoke during this month’s First Friday Forum at First United Methodist Church in downtown Jackson. Gist delivered the State of the City address he was unable to give in January due to illness. Gist said crime, while still an issue, is down in the city. He also discussed investments made in the community including the Pacific Industries and Kellogg’s facilities. Gist also praised revitalization efforts in the downtown area.
