DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A Jackson woman appeared in court Wednesday after being linked to fraudulent charges made on a co-worker’s debit card, according to court documents. On Jan. 15, a woman told police she had multiple fraudulent transactions on her account. She told police she gave her debit card information to Ciera Willis, whom she worked with at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, so Willis could order lunch. The woman later found 36 fraudulent transactions on her account totaling more than $1,200, according to the affidavit. Officers found some of the orders were shipped to Willis’ address in Bells and that bill payments also were linked to Willis, the document states. Willis is free on a $10,000 bond.
