MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Madison County Fire Department’s investigation unit just got bigger with the addition of a Ford F-350. The department says the truck was bought at a discount and remodeled by members of the fire department with the exception of the paint job. The new unit comes with a cascade system, which allows air tanks to be refilled in the field, something the department hasn’t been able to do before. “This gives us a vehicle that we can store all the equipment that we need to have on it,” said Marshal Don Friddle of the Madison County Fire Department. The crew cab can seat six people. There currently are nine staff members certified as fire investigators.
