DOWNTOWN JACKSON — Accusations of drug possession and the ownership of a firearm during the alleged crime had one Jackson man before a judge Monday morning. James Patrick Higgins was pulled over by a Jackson officer Sunday night. In his car, police say they found 200 assorted pills including oxycodone, xanax and hydrocodone along with marijuana residue and a .9 mm handgun. He’s in jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
