MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Members of the Tennessee Highway Patrol are preparing for another busy holiday night keeping the roads safe from impaired drivers. From 12:01 this morning to midnight Wednesday, more officers are on the road enforcing a 48-hour traffic safety campaign. That includes sobriety and seat belt checks, along with bar checks at earlier selected spots. Four people died last year during the holiday, none of which were wearing safety belts.
