Late night crash on Madison Co. highway kills 1

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A man was killed in a Tuesday night crash about 10 miles southeast of Jackson on Highway 197 in Madison County. Brantley Cupples, 25, was killed when the car he was driving struck a pole after leaving the left side of the roadway while negotiating a curve, according to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Troopers say the accident happened at about 10:15 p.m. as Cupples was traveling southbound on the highway.
