NORTH JACKSON — Mayoral candidates got a chance to share their vision for Jackson Thursday at the Jackson Country Club. Dr. James Baxter, Tim York, Charlie Motton, Lowe Finney and Mayor Jerry Gist all were on hand for Thursday’s event. Each candidate had five seconds to speak about their vision and to give the voter a reason on why they should vote for them. “Things like this are a good idea for the citizens of Jackson so that we could be informed on what’s going on, and with the upcoming election we need to know the idealisms of each of the candidates and what they plan to offer to the citizens of Jackson,” voter Delita Jackson said. The mayoral election is May 5.
