DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man was in Jackson court Thursday on accusations of stealing tools from his former employer. Daniel Wayne Decker faces one count of theft of property over $1,000. The owner of Weaver’s Small Engine, where Decker was then employed, reported June 3, 2013, that Decker had stolen items from the business and then tried to sell them to another employee, according to an affidavit. The tools were valued at more than $1,000, the document states. Decker was terminated and then supposedly did not return company supplied uniforms valued at more than $300. Decker is free on a $10,000 bond.
