Crews investigate north Jackson house fire

NORTH JACKSON — Firefighters are investigating a house fire on Moorewood Drive. Fire officials say the fire seems to have started downstairs and may have been caused by candles or burning incense. However, the investigation is ongoing. No injuries have been reported. The call went out just before 5 p.m. Firefighters say the downstairs of the home is heavily damaged and unlivable and the upstairs has mostly smoke damage. Five people lived at the home, officials said. WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News will have more information as it becomes available.
