Humboldt man charged with counterfeiting money

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — A Humboldt man is facing dozens of counts after a traffic stop led police to counterfeit money. Jesse Scott, 23, is charged with 25 counts of criminal simulation. Humboldt police say they found a large amount of counterfeit money in the vehicle during the Nov. 29 search. The stop took place at East Main Street and U.S. 45 Bypass, according to a release from the department. Scott is being held in the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex on unrelated charges, according to the release.
