NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – A parade of potential Republican presidential candidates is coming forward at the National Rifle Association’s annual convention.
The speakers will get 10 minutes each Friday to lay out their pro-gun bona fides at the Nashville, Tennessee, convention.
The prospective 2016 rivals don’t have much convincing to do with the NRA – they already enjoy “A” ratings from the group when it comes to their positions on gun rights.
Among 2016 GOP prospects to speak: Sen. Ted Cruz and former Gov. Rick Perry of Texas; former Gov. Jeb Bush and Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida; Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal; and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.
Among those not coming: the governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, who’s had a checkered relationship with the gun-rights lobby.
