Jackson man accused of threatening to shoot wife

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man appeared Monday morning in Jackson City Court on accusations of threatening to shoot his wife. Jimmy Wade Collins is accused of threatening to kill his wife with a pistol Saturday during an argument about marital issues at a Beechwood Drive address, court documents state. Collins’ wife told police he said he would get his pistol from his truck and put it to her head and kill her, according to an affidavit. She also told police Collins frequently makes threats toward her. Collins in charged with aggravated domestic assault. His bond is set at $30,000.
