Dr. Reese retires after 35 years of serving West Tennessee

JACKSON, Tenn. — Previous patients, family and colleagues gathered at the Kirkland Cancer Center to celebrate a man who has given more than 35 years of his life to helping others. The Jackson community celebrated the retirement of Dr. Eugene Reese Jr. Dr. Reese was the first board-certified sub-specialist in hematology and oncology to join the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He is probably most well-known for his compassion for his patients. Executive Director for the Kirkland Cancer Center Gina Myracle said Dr. Reese always fought his patients’ cancer battles with them. Dr. Reese has been recognized across the country as one of America’s top physicians and oncologists.
