Police Surveillance in Phillips 66 Robbery

JACKSON, Tenn.- Jackson police need help finding a gunman who robbed a west Jackson convenience store while smoking a cigarette and talking on his cell phone. Surveillance video showed the suspect as he walked into the Phillips 66 on the Highway 45 By Pass around 3:30, Monday morning. He goes to the counter and appears to get money to pay for a pack of cigarettes. But as the clerk begins ringing up his purchase, the suspect starts raising his sweatshirt and takes a Mack 10 sub-machine gun from his waistband, placing it on the counter. The clerk opens the drawer and tries to hand the man the tray of money. As the clerk moves from the register, the gunman lowers his phone to cock the gun, then points it at the clerk, who goes back to the register and begins taking cash from the tray with the gun pointed at him. He placed the money on the counter, he raises the tray to show the robber there was nothing underneath. From there, the suspect, with gun in hand calmly walks out of the store while talking on his cell phone.
