Crockett County leaders officially open safe room

CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn.-Residents in Crockett County now have a safe haven to go to should severe weather ever threaten. Crockett County leaders held a special ceremony officially opening their safe room in Alamo. According to the Crockett County Chamber, city and county leaders along with residents came to the opening of the safe room. Mayor Tommy Green said the structure, which can hold 780 people is open to anyone on a first come, first serve basis, not just for Alamo residents.
