One airlifted after Dyer County auto accident

DYER COUNTY — One person is airlifted to Memphis and another taken to a nearby hospital after a car flips into a ditch. Five people were inside the car that overturned while traveling on a gravel road, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. All of the occupants were teenagers, according to the Dyer County sheriff. One person was taken by helicopter to Regional One in Memphis while another was taken to Dyersburg Regional Hospital, according to the THP. The other three passengers were not injured. Troopers say the cause of the accident is under investigation.
