Art exhibit part of the annual West TN Strawberry Festival

HUMBOLDT, Tenn.- The city of Humboldt is getting ready to launch its annual festival that brings thousands from West Tennessee and beyond. Leaders with the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival are preparing for events, including an art exhibit at the West Tennessee Regional Arts Center in downtown Humboldt on Main Street. Organizers told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News, art lovers are in for a sweet surprise. “I think people are sometimes a little surprised to see in a town of under 10,000 people that we do have an art museum with two permanent art collections and a porcelain collection. So it’s something you would expect to go to a larger city to see,” said Bill Hickerson of the West TN Regional Art Center. The art exhibit as part of the 78th Annual West Tennessee Strawberry Festival begins Sunday and lasts throughout next week.
