Man accused of hitting officer appears in court

JACKSON, Tenn.-A man accused of hitting an officer in the face appears in jackson city court, Tuesday. Court papers said Cedric Anderson hit the officer as he was being taken into custody outside his mother’s house, Sunday. She had called for help after she said he was yelling and kicking her door. Anderson is charged with simple assault and resisting arrest. He is now free on $2,500 bond.
