Tennessee boy fatally shot Christmas morning

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Officials say a Tennessee boy was fatally shot early Christmas morning.

News outlets cited police in reporting the 12-year-old boy was among three people killed in two separate shootings in Memphis on Saturday.

Memphis police tweeted that officers responded to a home at 2:26 a.m. Saturday and took the boy who had suffered a gunshot wound to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No other information was immediately released. Police said two men were killed and a female was wounded in a separate shooting early Christmas morning. Details weren’t released.
