CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. — As part of National Small Business Week, a local small business was honored for creating job opportunities. Southern Chic Spatique in Henderson was recognized as “Outstanding Business for Job Creation” by the Tennessee Small Business Development Center of Jackson State Community College. The year-old salon and spa is owned by Stacey Ingold and offers hair styling, massages, manicures, pedicures and skin care. The relatively new business so far has created eight new jobs. “She has exemplified what entrepreneurism can really mean when you start a business from scratch and build it up to the heights that she has built it up to,” said Joel Newman, senior small business specialist at JSCC. The business is described as having an unusual ambiance with stylish apparel, accessories, jewelry and gifts.
