Person of interest in custody after attempted robbery of business

TRENTON, Tenn. — A person of interest is in custody after police in Trenton say someone tried to rob a local business. It happened around 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Check Advance. Within 10 minutes, another 911 call came in saying a woman in the parking lot at the business was hit across the face and had her purse stolen. Officers were able to quickly track down the suspect and recover what was taken. The person of interest’s name has not been released because no charges have been filed.
