JACKSON, Tenn. — As the future of a now convicted attorney hangs in the balance, so does the timeline for the case against two men accused of kidnapping and killing Holly Bobo. Thursday, the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility confirmed it has received court papers regarding Fletcher Long’s conviction this week on a count of extortion. Long represents prime Holly Bobo suspect Jason Autry. The board is expected to consider suspending Long’s law license and could eventually disbar him. If he is suspended, he would not be allowed to represent clients. District Attorney Amy Weirich, whose office is serving as special prosecutor in the Bobo case, released this statement saying in part, “Our prosecutors will continue to prepare the state’s case in this matter and will adhere to the court’s desire to be ready for trial.”
