Martin primary students take break from TCAP with trip to Oz

MARTIN, Tenn. — Second grade teachers at Martin Primary School gave their students a break from their hard work on TCAP tests with a trip to Oz. This week centered around the Wizard of Oz. Students read the book and watched the classic film. The second grade hallway was transformed Wednesday into the enchanted land of Oz. On Friday, teachers and students dressed as their favorite characters from the story, and students played games and had special activities. A boy and girl costume winner was chosen from each classroom, and an overall boy and girl winner was picked from the entire grade.
