Freedom Fund Banquet benefits local NAACP chapter

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson-Madison County Chapter of the NAACP hosted its largest annual fundraiser Sunday. Nearly 700 attended the 52nd annual Freedom Fund Banquet. The chapter is known for its work in Civil Rights for all people. It honors individuals known for their work in government, education, charity and other beneficial community roles. The Freedom Fund Banquet honored veterans for their service as well. Funds raised go to the organization’s fight to address inequalities in health care, education, the justice system and beyond.
