Man accused of inappropriately touching 12-year-old girl

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man appeared Tuesday in city court after being accused of inappropriately touching a 12-year-old girl while she slept. Danny Thomas Billings is accused of touching the girl around 10 or 11 p.m. Friday while she slept on a couch at a Whitehall Street residence. The girl told police she was asleep when she felt someone touching her, then woke up and saw Billings, according to an affidavit. She told them he walked away when she confronted him. The girl then told her aunt what happened, and the aunt called police. Billings is charged with aggravated sexual battery. He is being held in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
