Man charged with robbing friend appears in court

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A Jackson man went before a judge Thursday on charges of robbing a friend at gunpoint. Sean Henley called the friend May 22 and asked to borrow money, according to an affidavit. The friend told police he agreed to meet Henley and then picked him up in his vehicle. He said he gave Henley $50 cash and that Henley then pulled a black semi-automatic pistol and held it to his chest. Henley is accused of robbing the man of a bank envelope containing between $300 and $500 before running away. Henley is charged with aggravated robbery and marijuana possession after allegedly having the drug Tuesday when he was arrested. He is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
