Driver accused in Henderson Co. car chase faces numerous charges

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — A man arrested Thursday after a car chase on Interstate 40 now faces numerous charges including multiple felonies. Turante Nunn of Memphis was taken into custody after police say he drove away during a traffic stop after they discovered the car he was driving was reported stolen out of Shelby County. Nunn is charged with felony evading arrest, three counts of felony reckless endangerment, one count of felony vandalism, two counts of misdemeanor vandalism for going through two yards during the chase, reckless driving, two counts of misdemeanor evading arrest and a count of speeding, according to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office. He is being held in the Henderson County Jail without bond and is scheduled to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
