Two Ky. men in custody after fleeing from Obion Co. deputies

OBION COUNTY, Tenn. — Two Kentucky men are being held without bond after fleeing from police Friday as they investigated a stolen truck. Winston Coyle and McKaiah Knuckles, both 18, were arrested after a foot chase, according to a release from the Obion County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office received a complaint Friday of an abandoned truck on Old Troy Road between Union City and Troy, according to the release. When deputies checked the truck’s registration, they found the truck had been reported stolen out of Carroll County, Ky. While investigating the scene, deputies were told two young men had approached a nearby house, according to the release. The two men fled on foot when deputies approached them, leading to a chase, the release states. Deputies eventually were able to take the men into custody after a lengthy foot chase, according to deputies. Both Coyle and Knuckles are charged with resisting arrest and theft of property over $1,000, according to the sheriff’s office. They were arraigned Monday in general sessions court and ordered to be held without bond. They are scheduled to appear again in court at 8:30 a.m. June 9.
