Overnight fire destroys east Jackson mobile home

JACKSON, Tenn. — An overnight fire destroys a home in east Jackson. Police say it happened around 1 a.m. Thursday in the 100 block of Bess Lane. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters say the home is a total loss.
Investigators say there was a lit candle in the house and that the person who lived there thought she blew it out before leaving.
Police say they found nothing suspicious. The cause remains under investigation.
