Man in court accused of trying to hire prostitute

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man went before a judge Thursday in city court after being charged in an undercover prostitution investigation. Charles Jaeger is accused of using the website www.backpage.com to arrange to meet an undercover officer at a Jackson hotel and later providing money for sex, according to an affidavit. The investigation was a joint operation by the Jackson Police Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the affidavit states. Jaeger is charged with patronizing prostitution. The judge set his bond at $2,500.
