Police: Paris mother charged after baby tests positive for drugs

PARIS, Tenn. — A mother in Paris is charged with aggravated child abuse and neglect after investigators say her newborn baby tested positive for drugs. According to Paris police, when Tracy Watson gave birth in May, doctors found prescription drugs in her system. However, her medical records showed she did not have prescriptions for the medication. She is charged under what’s known as “Haley’s Law.” Her bond is set at $150,000.
