Woman arrested in hit-and-run wreck that killed 14-year-old
PORTLAND, Tenn. (AP) – Sumner County authorities have arrested a woman in the connection with the hit-and-run death of a 14-year-old girl in Portland.
WSMV-TV (http://bit.ly/1IQ9UKr ) reports Briana Lowe was walking back from a nearby Dollar General store just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night when she was struck and killed. Authorities say 42-year-old Amanda Colleen Hall struck Lowe, then drove off. Authorities have charged her with reckless homicide, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in a death and driving on a revoked license. Investigators are still trying to determine the possibility of alcohol in relation to the case.
Lowe was walking with a friend back from a store. Lowe’s friend was not hurt.
