Jackson woman accused of stabbing man in face

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A woman appeared Wednesday in city court on accusations of stabbing a man in the face during an altercation at a Jackson apartment. Meshyala White faces an aggravated assault charge after a June 12 incident in which she is accused of stabbing a man three times in the face with a small knife, breaking the blade off in his face, according to an affidavit. The victim was treated at a local emergency room and released. Police say the assault took place at an apartment in the 800 block of Whitehall Street. White’s bond is set at $15,000.
