THP fleet at local dealer part of state contract

JACKSON, Tenn. — If you’ve traveled the 45 Bypass through Jackson lately, you may have noticed a fleet of Tennessee Highway Patrol vehicles in an auto dealer’s lot. Golden Circle Auto Group is the contract vendor that handles the THP’s Ford vehicles, according to the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security. Golden Circle was awarded the contract last year through the Department of General Services Motor Vehicle Management, which manages all state vehicles. The dealership orders the vehicles black, and the cream color is added by Golden Circle. Ford of Murfreesboro was the previous contract vendor.
