USJ and Union grad earn GSC honors

The 19th annual Gulf South Conference Top Ten Award list features two standouts with Jackson ties. Union University’s Amy Philamlee and North Alabama and Jackson native Lee Mayhall have been recognized as one of the top five male and top five female student-athletes in the GSC. The duo received recognition from their athletic, academic and extracurricular achievement during the 2014-15 academic year. The top male and female receive the Commissioner’s Trophy, the Conference’s most prestigious honor. Winners will be announced in Destin, Fla. at the GSC’s Annual Awards Banquet on Thursday, June 25.
