DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man was in city court Thursday on accusations of giving police a fake name and social security number during a traffic stop. Police say Germaine Black was driving an SUV they pulled over Wednesday on the Highway 45 Bypass for dark window tint. Black gave officers an incorrect name and social security number two times, leaving them unable to find a match in their system, according to an affidavit. Police say Black told them he would call his mother and get the correct social security number, which led them to positively identity him. Black is charged with criminal impersonation.
