Sheriff: Worker killed during construction accident
BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Benton County Sheriff confirms a construction worker on I-40 was hit and killed by a dump truck Thursday evening. It happened just after 9:15 p.m. near Exit 133. Sheriff Kenny Christopher said the victim is in his mid-20s and is from Jackson. He says crews have been re-paving a large section of I-40 through Benton County over the past few days.
