Man accused of stabbing relative with paring knife

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man went before a judge Friday on accusations of stabbing a family member with a paring knife. Police responded Thursday to a Point O. Woods Drive residence to a reported stabbing, according to an affidavit. The victim told police Jerry Turley, a relative, had stabbed him with a paring knife during an altercation in the kitchen. Turley stabbed the man one time in the left side toward his back, according to the affidavit. Turley is charged with aggravated domestic assault. He is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
