Police: No charges in vehicle vs. wheelchair accident

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson police are no longer calling a Monday accident involving a wheelchair and a vehicle a hit-and-run. Officers say the driver who hit the wheelchair was an elderly person who drove to the parking lot of a nearby business to find a place to stop. The man in the wheelchair was not injured, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.
