Jackson police investigate shooting; two suspects wanted

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Police Department says they’re investigating a shooting that occurred just after 3 p.m. Saturday at the Old Hickory Inn located off the Highway 45 Bypass in west Jackson. Authorities say the victim was a 28-year-old black male who was shot twice while in a room at the inn. Police said witnesses described the suspects as two black males, one with long dreadlocks and the other with short hair. Investigators said the suspects left in a white or silver Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable. Officers believe this is a targeted shooting and that there is no immediate threat to the public.
