14 taken to hospital after church van crash in McMinn County

ATHENS, Tenn. (AP) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a church van crash in East Tennessee that sent 14 people to the hospital.

WRCB-TV (http://bit.ly/1JX3M3B ) reports the wreck happened in McMinn County as the van was carrying children to a day camp at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Englewood.

The crash happened around 9 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Highway 30 and County Road 554.

It wasn’t clear how many were aboard the van. A woman was flown to Knoxville.
