JACKSON, Tenn. — In an update to the homicide at Lincoln Courts early Friday morning, Jackson police along with U.S. Marshals have arrested two suspects just 12 hours after the shooting. Councilman Johnny Dodd said the crime scene possibly had a blind spot for the police crime camera in the area. Normally, the police use the security footage from the surveillance cameras they have set up around the housing complex, but they discovered Saturday that the courtyard was blocked by trees. “A lot of times with cameras you have some hidden spots that you can’t really see, but you never really know where the crime is going to take place at,” Councilman Johnny Dodd said. The Jackson Housing Authority is now going around the city inspecting other crime cameras for blind spots and potential problem spots. The trees blocking the camera in Lincoln Courts have since been cut down.
